Hello and Welcome!

I’m Bev and I live in Calgary, Alberta with my husband Dave and fur daughter Sophie, a beautiful golden retriever who our children joke has had more pictures taken of her than them. (Probably more true than funny if I’m honest)

I’m the fiercely proud Mother of two amazing children and I  recently acquired the title of Grandmother , a journey that far exceeded anything I ever could have imagined  . . . family means everything to me and it never escapes me for a second just how fortunate I am.

Another thing I should tell you is that I’m extremely passionate about photography to the point my family jokes that they forget what I look like sometimes because there always seems to be a camera in front of my face.

I have to say though, it’s when I’m behind the lens of my camera that I’m in my element. Time stands still and I get completely absorbed in the beauty around me. It’s in these moments that I regain perspective and focus. (no pun intended!)

I’ve often said that I think everyone should carry a camera. When you look through that viewfinder you’re constantly looking for the beauty in life and you find yourself appreciating things you once took for granted.

Things like the  light and long reaching shadows . . .  things that magically transform all they touch and you begin to see the world open up before you in ways you never imagined. It’s those moments and more I want to share with you.
